Mothers Union Sydney is part of the worldwide Mothers Union, a 140 year old Christian organisation, active in 84 countries with over 4 million members who are linked by daily prayer.
Mothers Union members around the world volunteer to run various grassroots ministries focused on meeting families at their point of need.
Our Sydney ministries include Christian Seminars & Parenting Courses, the Mothers Union Shop, Hospital Visits, support at Family Courts & Children’s Courts, Church Workers and much more…
Statement of Faith - Mothers Union Sydney
The PURPOSE of Mothers Union is to be specially concerned with all that strengthens and preserves marriage and Christian family life. Our AIM is the advancement of the Christian religion in the sphere of marriage and family life.
Our FIVE OBJECTIVES are:
• To uphold Christ’s teaching on the nature of marriage
and to promote its wider understanding
• To encourage parents to bring up their children in the faith and life of the Church
• To maintain a worldwide fellowship of Christians united in prayer, worship and service
• To promote conditions in society favourable to stable
family life and the protection of children
• To help those whose family life has met with adversity
